Here are the basics of our practice:
Our team offers in-person and telehealth appointments for adults and couples living in Maryland or Virginia.
In person or telehealth sessions is a personal preference. There is no indication that one format is more effective than the other.
You aren't locked in to one format. If you want to meet in person for the first time and then do telehealth moving forward, that works! The best therapy is the therapy YOU can show up for, the choice is yours.
In Person Therapy in Annapolis
We offer in person sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
In person might be right for you if you need some place private to have a session or if you do not have a reliable internet connection. You might also just need a change of scenery and a different set of walls to look at. We have that space for you!
Is telehealth right for me?
Christina's thoughts on telehealth:
Believe me, I get the value of being in the same physical space as someone. There is something powerful about handing a tissue to someone and experiencing the energy of another human. There is also something to be said about reducing the barriers to therapy via telehealth. There is no commute, there is more flexibility, and it can feel quite safe to be in your own space (especially if you have pets). I think that given the opportunity, we can connect via video and you can feel the benefit from talking. Side note: my dog isn't welcome, he farts at the most inopportune times and it smells real bad (sorry buddy 🐶💨💨 )
Telemental health therapy services, means you can engage in therapy wherever is most comfortable for you. All you need is a computer or smart device with a camera and internet. Even though therapy services are offered online, you must be physically located in the state of Maryland or Virginia (Dr. Pimble only) during the time of service.
