What I Offer
I offer in-person and telehealth appointments for adults and couples living in Maryland. There are no indications that telehealth is more or less effective than in person therapy and is only contraindicated in rare cases. In person or telehealth sessions is a personal preference. We can also do a combination of both. If you want to meet me in person for the first time and then do telehealth moving forward, that works for me! The best therapy is the therapy YOU can show up for, the choice is yours.
Is telehealth right for me?
Believe me, I get the value of being in the same physical space as someone. There is something powerful about handing a tissue to someone and experiencing the energy of another human. There is also something to be said about reducing the barriers to therapy via telehealth. There is no commute, there is more flexibility, and it can feel quite safe to be in your own environment. I think that given the opportunity, we can connect via video and you can feel the benefit from talking.
Telemental health therapy services, means you can engage in therapy wherever is most comfortable for you. All you need is a computer or smart device with a camera and internet. Even though therapy services are offered online, you must be physically located in the state of Maryland during the time of service.
Or maybe I need in person sessions?
I also offer in person sessions on Mondays and Fridays (more availability coming soon!). In person might be right for you if you need some place private to have a session or if you do not have a reliable internet connection. You might also just need a change of scenery and a different set of walls to look at. I have that space for you!
